Meckley Farms was started in 1985 when Gerald “Jerry” Jr. and Rebecca Meckley purchased a 365 acre farm in Tyler County and moved the family of five to the country. Even though farming was not going to be their primary business, they were determined to make the farm successful.
They started by adding a sixth member to the family. Then over time, the original farm was expanded. The first property added was the farm of our dear family friend, Kenny Fletcher, who lived next door. The other acquisition was a property in Waverly, WV that was turned into our on-the-farm bull raising facility.
Now our growing family helps to manage over 700 acres of beautiful West Virginia countryside and over 120 head of cattle.
